Location: (Hybrid- Pleasanton, CA) || Locals only

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description

Must Haves:

• 5+ years as an application developer with 3+ years being involved in application architecture
• 5+ years of experience with development languages including Java, .Net, Javascript frameworks
• 5+ years of experience with API Management tools including APIGEE, MuleSoft, and Kong
• Background with Azure cloud native application PaaS tools such as Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure Cache, Azure Logics Apps
• Experience creating integration layers between applications on Azure (Both designing & solutioning)
• Experience creating IPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) solutions
• Experience developing and designing the architecture for these solutions
• Queuing service integration layer experience
• An ability to be both hands on with development but provide consultancy from an architectural lens for the end client
• Ability to work and speak with stakeholders

Day to Day:

An IT consulting company is hiring for a Senior Application Developer in support of one of their clients. As a key member of the team, this Application Development Lead will structure, lead, and facilitate various design meetings and workshops, to client leadership. This Application Development Lead will discuss common architecture patterns and reference models, ensuring the right technical skills are on the team. Responsibilities include establishing the solution architecture approach, lead requirements analysis, outline key architectural decisions, plan milestones, and manage engagement outcomes. While overseeing team members, this Application Development Lead will guide the team towards successful engagement outcomes. While leading the development teams, this individual will conduct code reviews, provide effort estimates, prioritize tasks, and make decisions on architecture and technical debt. Additionally, this individual will contribute to the clients knowledge base by creating technique papers, work product descriptions, architectural decisions, guiding principles, documents, and code assets. This Application Development Lead will analyze technical requirements, plan and execute design and implementation work, while considering time, cost, and quality targets. While demonstrating strong leadership skills, this individual will further the evolution of intellectual capital assets and develop practice resources. Finally, this lead will educate, mentor, and coach teams in applying consulting techniques.

Do they have specific experience with APIGEE, Mulesoft, and/or Kong?

The manager wants someone that has been customer facing. Have they done that?

The manager wants someone who is both hands on (in the weeds) with API development and can create solutions(architecture)
