Project• DCO art director The DCO (dynamic creative optimization) art director is responsible for design leadership and art direction for DCO and Business specific digital assets.
• This person collaborates with creative leadership, DCO developer, motion developers, client partners, and project managers to align work with the brand and project brief.
Primary responsibilities• Leads marketing-asset design as prescribed by project briefs.
• Brings insight to build streamlined processes and optimize studio ways of working.
• Executes work on demand.
• Collaborates with fellow creatives to artfully solve specific project objectives.
• Builds extensive knowledge of brand guidelines and aligns projects accordingly.
• Meets or exceeds overall design objectives for final development and production of creative assets, also ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrates agility with changing priorities, deadlines, and directions.
• Adopts and understands processes supporting creative needs, questions, and duties.
• Supports the creative director and creative team to deliver on-brand media.
• Shares ideas and insights on market trends, competitive marketing, and innovations.
• Adapts problems in seasonal toolkits and maintains same standards across projects.
• Works independently without micro-direction and is reliably accurate.
• Supports other art directors while they are out of office.
Core competencies & requirements• Six+ years’ experience required—three as a senior graphic designer or art director; DCO focus required.
• At least two years of experience leading three to five people.
• External-agency experience desired; in-house agency experience preferred.
• Portfolio showcasing polished design skills in a variety of mediums with a focus on digital and print.
• Robust understanding of design principles.
• Proficient in DCO workflows.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment.
• Organized self-starter who is solutions-oriented.
• Strong presenter and communicator able to express opinions clearly and persuasively.
• Gives constructive feedback on projects and champion team members’ growth.
• Detail-oriented delivering focused work on time, on budget, and on strategy.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
• Knowledgeable in banner development in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript a plus.
• Experience with project management systems (Workfront a plus).
Pay Range: $45 - $50
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
