CornerStone Staffing has partnered with City of Dallas and is seeking a Bilingual WIC Nutritionist for our Irving location. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing nutrition and breastfeeding education to eligible women, infants, and children through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).

Job Title: Bilingual WIC Nutritionist – Irving, TX

Pay: $25/hour

Schedule: Initial Training (First 6 Weeks): Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

After Training:

• Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• One Saturday per month, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Adjusted weekday schedule to maintain a 40-hour workweek)

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct nutrition assessments and provide client-centered education on healthy eating habits
• Offer breastfeeding support and guidance to participants
• Ensure participants receive appropriate food benefits based on eligibility
• Make referrals to healthcare professionals and community resources when necessary
• Lead group nutrition classes to educate families on proper nutrition and wellness
• Work collaboratively with a team, be receptive to feedback, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Required: Must have a bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics or have completed at least 12 credit hours in nutrition-related courses.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
• Passion for serving vulnerable populations and improving community health
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and educate diverse groups
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
