We are seeking a highly skilled Color Management Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of color theory, printing technologies, and color management workflows. This role is crucial for ensuring that our printed materials meet the highest standards of color accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement color management strategies to optimize print quality and consistency across all projects.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to establish color standards and profiles for various substrates and printing methods.
  • Calibrate and maintain printing devices, ensuring they operate within specified color tolerances.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot color issues, providing effective solutions to maintain quality control.
  • Educate and train staff on color management processes, best practices, and the use of relevant software and tools.
  • Conduct color matching and proofing to ensure client expectations are met.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in color management technology.
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality of inks, papers, and other materials.
  • Document and maintain records of color profiles, calibration settings, and processes.
  • Manage and lead print team.
  • Schedule projects to run on various printers (UV, Dye Sublimation, Aqueous, Eco-Solvent)
  • Nest projects to optimize materials.
  • Create profiles for medias on various printers using color management software and calibration hardware)

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, or a related field (or equivalent experience preferred).
  • Proven experience in color management within the printing industry.
  • Proficiency in color management software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Onyx RIP, EFI Color Profiler Suite, Barbieri).
  • Strong understanding of color theory, color spaces, and printing technologies (offset, digital, flexo, etc.).
  • Certifications in color management.
  • Experience with large format printing and specialty inks.
  • Understanding of G7 processes.
