Location: Jupiter, FL

The Director of Cyber Security is responsible for providing leadership and strategic vision across diverse teams that support enterprise security initiatives. The Director of Cyber Security contributes to business decisions considering cyber security and adherence to organization security policies and are implemented with security in mind. This position requires strong leadership capability to direct the overall planning and execution of enterprise security systems while using operational and tactical expertise.

The Director of Cyber Security must have a strong technical background and fully understand threats, risk mitigation and technical controls to lead a team of security professionals through organization obligations and defenses. The position assumes accountability for the daily operations and often requires hands on coordination and execution.

  • Refine, manage, and continue to improve the Cyber and Information Security program
  • Direct and provide a strategic risk management vision to effectively secure the business without slowing organization innovation and execution
  • Develop and manage annual budget for the Cyber Security team and program implementation
  • Cyber Security progress reporting and corrective action planning with accountability to senior leadership
  • Identify and assess risks in implementing business innovations. Provide assessment of those risks to business stakeholders
  • Manage the Cyber Security team thru regular assessments and tracking of compliance to all technical requirements including information protection, account management, change control, patch management, anti-virus programs and test procedures
  • Manage Technical Feasibility Exceptions submittals, reporting and remediation as needed until completion of mitigation, where needed
  • Manage guidance and technical expertise to site personnel for troubleshooting and resolving cyber incidents
  • Manage and drive process improvements leading to a more efficient and effective compliance program
  • Primary advocate responsible for communicating and gaining organization-wide support for cyber security adherence; develop and implement an organization wide awareness program

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required Concentration in computer science, engineering, management information systems, Risk Management or related field required
  • CISSP certification preferred
  • Ten years of experience in a Cyber Security role or other related Information Technology role
  • Knowledge and identification of network infrastructure threats or virus, intrusion containment and mitigation techniques
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multi-layer security including Data Loss Prevention, Multi-factor authentication, Perimeter Security, Intrusion Detection and Prevention.
  • Working knowledge of networking including: LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers and switches, VPN, encryption, IoT, and sensors
  • Five years in a role responsible for, or heavily involved in, managing an enterprise-wide Cyber Security program
  • Experience with managing people from personnel decisions, performance management and professional development
  • Demonstrated ability to work with business owners, including legal, risk and compliance functions of the enterprise
  • Experience in developing and implementing efforts to drive efficiency and effectiveness thru process improvement in a large-scale program or project
  • Experience in working large cross-functional efforts in an organization
  • Ability to measure security risk and articulate findings to stakeholders in layman and business terms
  • Experience implementing changes on large networks
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all levels of internal and external customers including ability to present to different audiences
  • Planning and project management skills
  • Ability to set priorities and to respond to changing requirements
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to respond to issues outside of normal working hours and flexibility to travel as needed
  • Audit experience preferred
