Director of Sales and Marketing (Full-Service Hotel)

Compensation: Starting at $90K+

We are searching for an accomplished and motivated professional to step into the role of Director of Sales and Marketing for our full-service hotel. This position is instrumental in driving revenue, cultivating client relationships, and ensuring our hotel continues to be recognized as a standout destination in the market.

The ideal candidate will be a hospitality sales expert with a proven ability to strategize effectively, deliver exceptional marketing initiatives, and foster collaborative teamwork. Sales Strategy and Business Development

  • Craft and execute detailed sales plans that support revenue targets across diverse market segments.
  • Identify and secure business opportunities, including corporate accounts, group bookings, and event partnerships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, event planners, travel agencies, and other strategic partners to drive loyalty and repeat business.
  • Deliver compelling proposals and presentations that position the hotel as the optimal choice for prospective clients.


Marketing Innovation

  • Develop and implement impactful marketing campaigns that highlight the hotel’s unique features, services, and promotions.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to ensure all digital content, social media strategies, and advertising initiatives resonate with the target audience.
  • Analyze metrics to track campaign success and make data-driven improvements to achieve high ROI and brand awareness.
  • Uphold brand standards, ensuring all marketing communications align with the hotel’s identity and market positioning.


Team Development and Leadership

  • Inspire, coach, and lead the sales and marketing team to exceed targets and foster a collaborative, high-achieving environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide valuable feedback, and outline clear growth paths for team members.
  • Recruit and train new talent to maintain a dynamic and forward-thinking department.


Market Insights and Revenue Growth

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities locally and regionally.
  • Partner with the Revenue Management team to refine room rates, promotions, and packages to optimize profitability.
  • Leverage client and market data insights to design strategies that drive both short- and long-term revenue growth.


Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Work closely with other hotel departments, including Operations, Food & Beverage, and Events, to ensure sales and marketing programs are fully integrated and aligned with hotel goals.
  • Support the General Manager by providing updates, insights, and input on strategic initiatives for the property.
  • Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to build connections and enhance partnerships.


Building Client Loyalty

  • Oversee CRM systems to manage client relationships and ensure transparent tracking of leads, contacts, and opportunities.
  • Be the go-to contact for VIP clients, delivering a seamless experience that strengthens long-term relationships.
  • Ensure guest feedback channels are addressed promptly and proactively, enhancing overall client satisfaction.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • At least five years of leadership experience in sales and marketing, ideally within the hospitality or travel sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue goals in a competitive and dynamic market.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to energize and guide a high-performing team.
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing strategies, CRM tools, and analyzing performance-based outcomes.
  • Advanced communication and negotiation skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and clients.
