Job Title: Director of Security Services

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a Director of Security Services to oversee 170+ security professionals , including Security Officers, Dispatchers, and Ambassadors . This role provides an opportunity to lead system-wide security operations while fostering a culture of collaboration, de-escalation, and trust . The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and strategic planning skills to align security initiatives with organizational goals .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a large-scale security team , ensuring safety across all Community campuses .
• Develop and implement security policies, programs, and risk management strategies .
• Promote a collaborative, customer-service-oriented approach to security services.
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of security operations, including emergency preparedness.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements .
• Oversee security training, staffing, and budget planning .
• Serve as the primary liaison between security personnel and hospital administration.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or a Healthcare-related field .
• Minimum 7 years of managerial or supervisory experience in security operations.
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare security, program development, and risk management .

Licensure & Certifications:

• Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
• Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) from the International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security (IAHSS) ( must obtain within 1 year of hire ).
• California Guard Card ( must obtain within 1 year of hire ).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior healthcare security experience strongly preferred.
• Strong project management and leadership skills .
• Ability to handle crisis situations and emergency response coordination .
