Job Description

Acara Solutions is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for our manufacturing client in West Seneca, NY. The Maintenance Mechanic will install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes, and electrical and hydraulic systems. 

What you'll do

• Detect and diagnose machinery malfunctions by listening for unusual sounds and discussing issues with operators and supervisors.
• Safely shut down machines, lock out energy sources, replace parts, and test for proper operation.
• Clean and lubricate machinery parts like shafts, bearings, and gears following company procedures.
• Install and repair electrical wiring and components on machinery.
• Assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and replace gauges and valves.
• Repair and maintain facility structures, including counters, benches, walls, and partitions.
• Install, program, and repair automated machinery such as controllers, pumps, and packaging machines.
• Operate machine tools like lathes and grinders to repair or fabricate parts, jigs, and tools.
• Use cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.

What you'll get

🔹 Pay: $27.53 - 30.53/hr. based on experience

🔹 Schedule:  Full-time m ust be available for all shifts (1st, 2nd & 3rd). Must also be available on weekends and holidays.

🔹  Shift differential: 2 nd Shift $0.75, 3rd shift $1.00

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

• High school diploma/GED or at least 2 years of related experience and/or training or combination of education and experience
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• At least 1 year of electrical troubleshooting 
• Mechanical aptitude 

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Certifications: Ammonia Refrigeration, Boiler First Class or higher, Industrial Electric, PLC Programming
