Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with extensive experience in SQL, Python programming, and data engineering. You will work closely with our development teams to build high-performance solutions, automate testing and benchmarking suites, and optimize data-driven workflows. Your expertise in agile development methodologies and engineering best practices will be critical to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop & Optimize Code: Write clean, scalable, and efficient Python code for data engineering use cases.
  
• SQL & Database Management: Design, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions.
  
• Automation & Testing: Build and automate testing/benchmarking suites to ensure robust and high-performance applications.
  
• Process & Requirement Analysis: Perform research to understand existing processes, gather requirements, and ensure effective implementation.
  
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with managers, business lines, and IT teams to align project goals with business needs.
  
• Continuous Learning & Innovation: Stay updated with the latest tools and technologies, contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  
• Documentation & Best Practices: Ensure clear documentation of all developed or modified functionality for seamless knowledge transfer.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SQL and Python programming .
  
• Expertise in writing advanced SQL queries, complex functions, and stored procedures .
  
• Strong experience in optimizing SQL statements and performance tuning .
  
• Proven experience with Apache Airflow for workflow automation.
  
• Passion for learning new technologies and adopting best engineering practices.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Working knowledge of Greenplum or other MPP (Massively Parallel Processing) databases.
  
• Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for data engineering solutions.
