Sales Support Specialist
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for sales support and customer engagement? We're looking for a Sales Support Specialist to play a key role in driving sales initiatives within the foodservice equipment industry. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with sales and marketing teams, manage quotes for large opportunities, and build strong relationships with customers—all while contributing to overall business growth.
What You'll Do:
Sales Support & Lead Generation - Conduct outbound sales calls and follow up on inbound leads to develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
Marketing & Trade Show Support - Work closely with marketing teams to develop sales materials and actively participate in customer-facing trade shows.
Cross-Selling & Strategic Sales - Partner with sales teams to identify cross-selling opportunities, ensuring customers receive tailored solutions that maximize sales potential.
Quote Management & Large-Scale Projects - Utilize AutoQuotes software to prepare and manage quotes for significant opportunities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client needs.
Profit Margin Optimization - Negotiate with suppliers for deeper discounts to enhance profit margins on bids and sales orders.
Collaboration & Communication - Work closely with internal teams, including sales representatives, product managers, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless operations and competitive quoting strategies.
Data Analysis & Reporting - Generate reports and provide insights to improve the quoting process and overall sales strategy.
E-Support & Customer Assistance - Provide support for online inquiries, resolve customer issues, and assist with quote requests as needed.
Other Duties as Assigned - Adapt to evolving business needs and take on additional responsibilities to support the team.
What You Bring to the Table:
Education & Experience - A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Industry Knowledge - 2-3 years of experience in inside or outside sales, ideally within the foodservice equipment and supplies industry.
Technical Skills - Proficiency in AutoQuotes or similar quoting software is a plus.
Communication & Collaboration - Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work across teams and with customers.
Flexibility & Travel - Ability to travel up to 20% as needed.
