Looking for flexible scheduling in a field you love? Sunflower Childcare Substitutes is hiring for Same-Day Substitutes to teach at Daycare Centers near you!

What does the day in the life of a Same-Day Sub look like?When our partner Daycare Centers reach out, we do our best to answer! As a Same-Day Sub, you will be reached out to the night before or morning of when a center is in need of your expertise! Our substitutes work with all ages, from infants up to school age, in a variety of different Childcare Centers. You may be called in for a same-day shift to be a lead for the day, to be a float to help with different classrooms, or aid in a centers afternoon schedule. The possibilities are endless!

Duties

Same-Day Substitute   Responsibilities include:

• Reliable transportation to travel among childcare centers in the community
• Operate alone in a one teacher ratio classroom or collaborate and support a second teacher in a double- ratio classroom
• Be an active listener and an effective communicator
• Upkeep of classroom cleanliness and sanitation
• Implement activity plans provided by childcare centers when available
• Willing to think outside the box, have fun, and leave a lasting good impression on all our partners

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be willing to travel up to one hour
• Must be willing and able to pass a extensive FBI/BCI background check
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have at least one year of experience in childcare centers
• Must be available to work afternoons until 6pm
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
