Job Description

Granite Transformations and Bath Planet   is seeking an Events Coordinator/Manager in our Jacksonville/Orange Park office. In this role, you are responsible for finding new events to ensure that event sales and gross profit goals are reached. This position is tasked with developing Brand Ambassadors/Lead Generators though effective coaching, mentoring, motivating, training and accountability. As the administrator and coordinator, you will provide the necessary planning, organization, direction and control of each event scheduled. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Sales Enablement, the Events Coordinator will be responsible for a team of direct reports.

Responsibilities:
The principle duties and responsibilities of the Events Coordinator consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Sources and books local events, trade shows, and markets.
  • Coordinates and communicates the logistics for events and acts as onsite event leader.
  • Provides on the job coaching, mentoring and motivating to ensure that assigned brand ambassadors stay on task.
  • Leads team strategy for booking appointments (in-home consultations for the Sales team) and generating quality leads at events.
  • Must have a positive attitude.
  • Identifies development requirements and then holds the brand. ambassadors accountable for assigned objectives.
  • Holds the brand ambassadors responsible for the behaviors that are needed to meet or exceed performance.
  • Effectively and constantly recruiting new brand ambassadors.
  • Maintain a visual pipeline on all brand ambassadors and takes immediate. action. if an ambassador falls behind on the required behaviors.
  • Attends the weekly meeting and provides the results of that weekend’s events.
  • Ensures that set appointment goals are achieved at each event.
  • Ensures that event expenses are reasonable, appropriate and within budget, develops marketing tactics and execution plan for each event to ensure successful revenue return.
  • Prepares an events budget for the business plan detailing events, sales, expenses, head count and wages.
  • Maintains strong customer and vendor relationships.
  • Demonstrates the ability to tactfully handle difficult situations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Organization skills are a must and must be maintained at all times.
  • Works and coordinates with the Front Desk staff and leadership team, as needed.
  • Assures the confidentiality of all sensitive company information.
  • Must have your own vehicle and be available to work most weekends.

Experience Required:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience as an Events Coordintor/Manager and customer service.
  • Must be willing to work nights and primarily on weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday & some weekdays)
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required.
  • Experience as a people manager.
  • Enthusiastic, infectious and customer-centric attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable standing for long periods of time.
  • Team player mentality.
  • Goal-driven with the desire to be the best!

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading teams of Brand Ambassadors a plus!
  • Event Marketing for at least 1 year.
  • Experience posting engaging event related content on social media (Facebook & Instagram) a plus!
  • Home improvement experience is a plus but not required.
  • Sales/Inside Sales experience a plus.

Compensation: Salary + BONUS potential

Schedule:

  • Typically Monday, Thursday, Friday - Sun with Tuesday/Wednesday off. Varies depending on event schedule.

  • Office location is Orange Park, FL 32073: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

  • Driver's License (Required)
